E.A.L 8F T.V Shows There are many different genres for T.V. shows, just like books. T.V. show genres include: News programs, quiz shows, crime shows, sport shows, and so on. Now because there is a lot of technology, people can watch T.V. shows anywhere such as on the Internet, in a movie theater or on television. The three most successful types of shows are news, cartoon, and science programs. One of the most popular types of T.V. shows is the news program. A long time ago there were only non-news programs. Instead, of watching news on television, people would just hear the news in the movie theater before the movie started or on the radio. People also read the news from magazines and newspapers. The first news program that started in the U.S was in the 1950s called NBC. Some of the really successful news programs nowadays are CNN News and BBC News. Many people watch news programs to know what’s happening around the world. Another popular type of T.V. programs is cartoon. The first cartoon in America was made in the 1923 by Walt Disney called “ Alice’s Wonderland”. Animated pictures that first were drawn create cartoons. Nowadays, many children around the world watch cartoons. One of the most famous cartoons all around the world is “ Tom & Jerry”. It started in the 1940 and since then, they have been creating new episodes. Both adults and children watch it. The third type of T.V. programs is the science program. They all started in the 1950s in the U.S. The first one was called “ Mr. Wizards”. Science programs may have things about chemistry, biology, physics’ and so on. Science programs can teach many interesting facts bout life around you. There are many different types of T.V. programs. People nowadays are creating new types of T.V. programs.
